Despite a population of under 2000 people, the natural beauty and charm of Rehoboth Beach, DE attracts about 3.5 million people to its shores a year. If you've visited our Delaware History Museum you may have seen this photograph on display of this famous family enjoying their beach vacation. It doesn't take a historian to know that the refreshing waters of Rehoboth were the least "hot water" that the man in the photo got into during his life!
Good people are often remembered long after they have passed.
Join us for our first Family and Community Day in collaboration with the @route9library and @ccacde. Enjoy story time, get creative with a teaching artist, and learn about August Quarterly! We'll post more about what to look forward to leading up to the event, but we hope to see you there.
We're so grateful for the fantastic teachers we get to work with every day to bring Delaware History to as many students as possible. Today, we want to highlight the significant accomplishments of John Thomas, 8th Grade history teacher at Brandywine Springs Elementary School!
August 7th is National Purple Heart Day, a day for honoring those killed or injured in service to their country.
Friend: What are you up to this weekend?
