It's #LibraryShelfieDay and we've got not one, not two, not three, but IV ways to show off some of our library collections. From rare books to yearbooks, our research library has far more on its shelves and in its collections than initially meets the eye.

The theme for this year's National History Day in Delaware program is "Frontiers in History," but we might be taking it a bit too far with this coffee mug commemorating the "final frontier..."
This nostalgic scene by Delaware-born artist, Robert Shaw (1859-1912), features ice skaters on the Brandywine and helps to take some of the bleak out of mid-winter. Robert Shaw’s home state and its history was one of his favorite artistic subjects. The building depicted in this copperplate etching from 1890 was originally a barley mill built in 1728 that stood at the foot of what is now Adams Street in Wilmington. The building later became a Calico printers, and then a cotton and carding mill before it burned down in January 1857. This etching is part of a large collection of Robert Shaw artworks donated to the Delaware Historical Society in 1984 by the artist’s niece.
